Civilian victims in Ukraine

This person is a victim of Putin’s military operation in Ukraine.

He is a civilian. His country was invaded.

He is not wearing a uniform or carrying a gun.

Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights reads:

“Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.”

Do you think that it is enough to protect him from violence or war ?

We do not believe so.

We think that the Declaration of Human Rights needs to be amended.

Help us recognize the Right to Peace (the right to non-violence) as a universal human right.

What if this was your father, or your brother, or your husband ?

Every human deserves to live free of violence.

Everybody deserves a Right to Peace.

Join us to make it so.

The Ukrainian Conflict

War is the most abominable, cruel and stupid of human enterprises. The Ukrainian people never provoked this aggression. Now their safety and their property are threatened or compromised. This is why the United Nations and the Declaration of Human Rights was created. We cannot, should not remain neutral. A massive violation of human rights is unfolding in front of the world, with plenty of witnesses. The world has to raise and say to the bully responsible that this invasion is unacceptable. I stand for human rights. Today I stand with the Ukrainian people. May God protect them and may the world respond appropriately.

Every bullet, every rifle, every tank, every plane, every uniform is a sold good. The saddest aspect of the war is the fact that is a business; a very profitable one for a few people. That is why mindless men and women are send to kill their neighbors. It is not the defense of higher principles or ideas. It is pure and unadulterated greed. Profit on death and suffering. Plain and simple.

Child Abuse in the United States

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services 1840 children died from abuse and neglect in 2019. (Source: American SPCC). Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.” Does that seem enough to you?

We believe that Article 3 is not enough. We believe that we as humans have an innate and inalienable right to live without the threat of violence. We call it the Right to Peace.

We are all born equal. Regardless of our age, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or disabilities we all have the right to live in a world free of threats and violence because of who we are.

We could not help 1840 children in 2019 but we can help 175,000 other children that are the victims of physical or sexual abuse in the United States alone. If you think that it is wrong that 5 children died every day because of abuse and neglect, maybe you believe in human rights and maybe you will stand up for them.

Violence is always wrong.  Support the Right to Peace Foundation.
